Plant for the Planet

Pringle Creek Community sponsored the annual Plant for the Planet Academy. This year, there were five Climate Justice Ambassadors and students from six different schools who came together for this event. The day was filled with learning about climate change, climate justice, and how to plant trees. When youth get together in varying age-groups and learn by doing something tangible, like planting a tree, it's powerful. Urban Farmers 2019

The Sustainable Living Center is offering the wonderful Urban Farmers program that begins in February. If you're curious about what Urban Farming is, would like to add to your gardening skills, or would simply love to do a fun educational activity with a loved one, then this could be the ticket. The Sustainable Living Center(SLC) is a non-profit that functions out of Pringle Creek Community. It raises awareness through environmental education, demonstrates different ways people can choose more environmentally-friendly practices, and activates this through many fun activities and events throughout the year.
