Agrihood Lifestyle

The combination of community and nature in the middle of an urban environment, with sustainable innovation to boot, is something we've been doing for years. A major advantage to living at Pringle Creek Community is that our many acres of open space includes a very productive farm and orchard. It's great to see how agrihoods are now catching on, and how they're benefiting communities and businesses. The weather in Oregon’s fertile Willamette Valley couldn't be better for growing lush gardens and delicious healthy organic produce. Here's to the agrihood lifestyle! Eat Healthy Support Community

The CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is gearing up for 2018! If you're unfamiliar with what a CSA is, it's basically paying your local farmer upfront for the year, and then getting delicious and healthy produce from about June until January, depending on the harvesting seasons. Our expert Urban Farmer, Colleen Owen, is growing some wonderful food this year. The family across the street had a chicken farm - I’d get to ... Read more

Eat Your Greens

Don’t forget to eat your greens! Remember your mom or pop telling you that? Well, the greens grown on the Pringle Creek farm are absolutely delicious and they are available to all who subscribe to our CSA. So, instead of cringing, you might be smiling from ear to ear (ahem, you’ve got a little spinach in your teeth…). Community Supported Agriculture is called CSA for short. Now, if you don’t know what it means, no worries. In brief, people in the community pay a farmer in advance for a share in the produce she or he harvests throughout the year. At ... Read more
