ICF Presentation

Start 2018 off right with some new knowledge on green building! We are having an ICF Presentation next Wednesday, January 10th, from 12:00 - 1:00pm. Jerry Spivey of Better Builders of Oregon will be speaking in-depth about ICF (insulated concrete forms). This is a high efficiency building technology that we are beginning to use at Pringle Creek Community. Better Builders of Oregon is building the Net Zero home that’s on John Muir Loop. Green Building Mandates

We've been doing green building for quite some time, and we're glad to hear that Governor Kate Brown is also supporting it through green building mandates. We believe in building a community that consciously takes steps to leave a lighter footprint on the earth. Our homes are built with healthy materials that have energy efficiency in mind. ICF Explained

At Pringle Creek Community, we are all about providing sustainable and innovative home options. When it comes to building, we’d like to re-introduce you to ICF. ICF stands for insulated concrete forms. It’s composed of concrete, expanded polystyrene (EPS), and metal support structures to secure the inside. When you see a home made out of ICF being constructed, it almost looks like a gigantic Lego project! What is EPS anyway?
