Our Little Library is just brimming with books, and they are excellent titles, too! Our Little Library, registered with the Little Free Library nonprofit organization, is a handsome little box located out in front of our community center, Painters Hall, next to our newest park, Jane’s Pocket Park.
Our Little Library was built by youth offenders at the Oregon Youth Authority and painted and decorated by girls in the local Daisy Girl Scout Troop, #10037. The Little Free Library is a wonderful addition to our community offering a nice, free exchange of books for visitors and neighbors. Reading in the park is also a lovely way to spend time on a nice day enjoying a good book in a beautiful setting.
Some of the titles currently in our library are:
Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut, The Bourne Ultimatum by Robert Ludlum, Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand, ‘Tis by Frank McCourt, The Chamber by John Grisham, Goethe by Faust, Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer, No Place Like Home by Mary Higgins Clark, and Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackery.
Visit us, find a good read, and spend some time enjoying a good book!
