Earth 411 Event a Big Success!

We had a great time and a lot of success meeting and greeting people this past Saturday at the Earth 411 event at Riverfront Park, an early Earth Day event put on by the City of Salem and Straub Environmental Center.  Kerry helped plan the event and acted as main stage coordinator while Sue Wilson, Kristen Duus, Lisa & Jonathan Schachter, and Jane Poznar all helped staff our Pringle Creek Community and Sustainable Living Center table.  We gave away over 200 plant starts, 100 cards with flower seeds, brochures and Walking Tours.  We made a lot of new relationships, ... Live where you can Thrive!

The baby chickens are growing and thriving and our Tiny Library is filled with really good reading!  The glasshouse gardens are booming with the recent warm, sunny weather.  Pringle Creek Community really is a satisfying, fulfilling place to be.  Visitors love to come out to take advantage of the walking trails, relax at the community center, and visit the gardens.  Residents enjoy the restful, peaceful environment knowing that underlying all of the amazing energy efficient, eco-conscious infrastructure (permeably paved streets, geothermal heating and cooling, solar energy) is a deep respect for the surrounding natural environment and for ... Our Little Free Library is finished!

Built by youth at the Oregon Youth Authority and painted and decorated by our local Daisies Troop, our Little Free Library is finished and installed by our mailboxes at Painters Hall!  The Pringle Creek neighbors planned it and Paco put it in place.  Thanks to all for such a great team effort! Salsa Night at Pringle Creek

A couple of weeks ago we had our first Salsa Night at Pringle Creek Community. After clearing out the center section of Painters Hall our wonderful grounds keeper/professional dancer/DJ/all around renaissance man, Paco, taught the group of 15 or so neighbors and friends of Pringle Creek some basic Salsa steps.
