Flower Power Innovator

Earth Day is right around the corner and there's a lot of work to be done, but there's also a lot that's happening already and fun to be had! At Pringle Creek Community we are in the middle of our Urban Farmers class offered by the SLC (Sustainable Living Center) and are preparing for an important day of the year, Earth Day. Earth Day started in the 70s, in the midst of hippy happiness and spreading the love. In the 80s, the three Rs were yelled from across school auditoriums, and your class may have even been trying to ... Read more

Earth Day Plant Sale

Earth Day is right around the corner, which means we have a fun event planned for you, of course! On April 21st, from 10 - 4:00pm, we invite you to stop on by the glass houses on the urban farm. With green on the brains of many ... Read more

Laws of Nature

At Pringle Creek Community, we are wishing you an Earth Day filled with a spring that sings from the tree tops. Here's to another year powered by the sun.  Remember when you were a child? Remember what it was like to walk (and sometimes stumble) on the grass, stomp in a puddle, or make a mud pie? Were you the child who was notorious for climbing trees barefoot to get a birds eye view of the world below? ... Read more

Earth Day ’08 at Pringle Creek

Earth Day was a great event! Local school groups displayed their environmental study and service projects--we were really impressed. We had a singing performance by the HOPE Team Choir. The workshops on Bamboo, Worm Bin Composting, and Urban Chicken Keeping were all great – thanks to Dain, Sally and Jim for presenting. Thanks also to Larry, Blake and Phil for being on hand to answer all questions on green building. And a big thanks to everyone that made the event a success: Deborah, Becky, Jackie, Tony, Elizabeth, Don, Joe, Luca, Dan, Robbie, Marie, Sally and Bill, and especially all ... Read more
