Green Building Catches On

At Pringle Creek Community, we’ve been doing green building since the beginning. We get that it’s where the future of building is going, and we also adhere to the highest of green building standards with every home being LEED certified. It comes as no surprise that more builders are beginning to follow these practices that we have been advocating since we were founded.   GREEN BUILDING CATCHES ON NAHB, Dodge study: Third of builders report building green on more than 60% of portfolio. Paradise Found

We are thrilled to be featured in Marie Claire's January 2017 issue, where Kiera Carter, writes about all the thoughts that go through a person's head when they are considering moving to a more sustainable community. Carter wonders whether sustainable communities will have a "potentially creepy commune vibe," and asks the question, "Can an office-going, lipstick-wearing woman actually fit in?" Our residents come from all walks of life, and they work for the city, the hospital, a university, and some are retired while others are starting families. Some residents come as experienced gardeners wanting to participate 110% in the community ... Read more

Steady Growth

Pringle Creek Community is giving a warm welcome to new residents this winter. Steady growth is happening with three new homes built by Spectra Construction almost near completion, and we are looking forward to welcoming three new families into our community who hail from the Southwest and Oregon! Two of these homes are on the geothermal loop and gain great energy efficiency by using the earth's ambient temperature for heating and cooling. Both homes are one-level with one home at 1,300 square feet and the other at 1,000 square feet. Rigid insulation has been installed on the exterior of the homes ... Read more
